What a special show it is.  DESTINATION:trance officially turns one year old today, and what better way to celebrate than to get the man who makes everything possible to provide us a very exclusive guest mix.  Yes that's right We here at DESTINATION:trance proudly present to you DJ Mark Kane.

Mark is the head honcho of the radio station you all know and love (Party 107). He has a very good ear for a tune and likes to play trance of a melodic and uplifting nature.  Being no stranger to djing Mark takes to the decks like aduck does to water.  Will be very interesting to see what he has in store for us as DESTINATION:trance turns 1 year old.

Tired from Christmas shopping? Need some trance to wrap presents or write cards to?  Just like trance and want to hear some live trance on the radio?

If you answered yes to any of the above please tune in to the first ever Amplitude Radio today on Party 107 with myself Ant Attwood.

The whole show is me mixing LIVE for 2 hours and it's a new monthly thing starting today and will take place on the 4th Saturday of each and every month.

The playlist of the show is completely open and I will be taking requests, please post them in this thread.  This unlike most radio shows will not be a promo-fest although there will be some new tunes in the mix no doubt.  

Also in todays show I have Party 107 head honcho DJ Mark Kane on the phone telling me his record of the month.

This week the guest mix comes from none other than Andy Dunford.  Andy has been wowing crowds on the London  scene for a little while now.  Putting in solid warm up sets and peak time destroyer sets this man is incredibly versatile behind the decks.  Andy’s sets are typically well crafted and tell a story and you will almost hear at least one forgotten classic in each set.  Andy has played at some of the biggest London venues including Turnmills, Heaven and Hidden.

So.... you may or may not remember, last year we played host to 5hours of the very best trance tracks of 2006 as voted for by us and by you guys (although mainly us ).  It was where the reinvented D:t all started... again.

Well we're very happy to announce that we're going to be doing it all over again this year in a 6hour extravaganza, live on Party107.  On Saturday 29th December (conveniently placed in that little void between crimbo and new year) we'll be counting down the top50 trance tracks of the year, 100% live and direct to your computer from the D:t studio.

Last year we were joined in the studio by the fabulous Dan Kandi who not only mixed the top 50 show with us, but performed a very special and exclusive guest mix that has gone down in legend.

And this year will be no different, in that we'll be accompanied by one of London and England's finest young DJs and Producers.  This chap's tracks have been staples in both Ant's and Showndown's sets all year, and rightly so as they rock.  But, and here comes the rub, we're not gonna tell you who just yet.... in true reality tv suspenseful linger stylee, we're going to wait a while before we make the reveal.  Ha!

But, this is where you guys come in....

We'd like you to send us your top tracks of the year.  What have you really enjoyed this year?  Which tracks can't you stop listening to?  Which tracks have really made you spine tingle?  Which tracks have gotten the best reaction from crowds when played out?  Which track(s) couldn't you live without?

You can send us you top 3, your top 10, your top 20, or if your really brave... your top 50!  Basically, whichever tracks you feel that should get a mention and a playing on the show.  This is your very real chance to influence the vote, so don't come crying to us when your favourite floor filler doesn't make it onto the list!

There are many ways to get your votes to us over the course of the next month or so.... you can post you picks here in this very thread, you can personal message (pm) either myself  Ant (Double A), you can email them to Phil at "phil at showdowndjs dot com", you can post them on this 7 forum thread, text us, send us a postal letter, or get your local scribe to note them down on the finest turkish parchment and fly it to us by carrier pigeon.  Whichever way you fancy!

Also, you can make as many changes to your picks as you want, just let us know your changes and we'll update the uber spreadsheet that I've got my monkeys work on right now!  We're not sure when the cut off date will be just yet, but we won't spring it on you, so there's plenty of time.

This weeks guest mix comes from the uber talented Ian Betts

We here at D:t are very excited about mr Betts as we are both a fan of his productions and are absolutely thrilled to have him on board for the show.  

Ian Betts has been capturing the imagination of clubbers around the world for over 7 years, during which time the London based HeatUK resident and Six:Thirty Records boss has developed into one of clubland's most consistent DJ/Producers.

Ian has played at the biggest and most influential events in the clubbing calendar including Cream @ Amnesia in Ibiza, South West Four on Clapham Common, Dance Valley in Holland and Heat/The Gallery @ Brixton Academy/Turnmills.

Ian's DJ pedigree has not only won him slots performing alongside the world's biggest names including Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Sasha, Carl Cox, Ferry Corsten and Judge Jules, but it has also made him the personally requested warm-up DJ for leading players such as Marco V, John 00 Fleming and Mauro Picotto. He continues to play gigs around the world including dates in South Africa, Australia, Spain, Holland, Israel, Germany and Poland.

Todays show is the perfect time to get Ian on as later after the show, Ian will be playing in the main room @ Koko in London warming up for Paul Van Dyk while Phil will be djing in the back room with his Showdown stablemate Kiz.   If you like what you hear, get yourself along to Koko and support Ian and Showdown too. It promises to be a massive night.

This weeks guest mix comes from none other than Dale Chambers otherwise known as D-Digital.

Dale is a very good friend of the show.  He promotes Maidstone's only current trance night at the moment (Trancesation) held on the 2nd Saturday of the month at the River Bar.  Ant Attwood and Showdown played there a couple weeks back on the 15th September as well as being regulars of the night.  Dale has a very good ear for a tune and his mixes are usually of the highest quality as the River Bar bops along to his enchanting trance or the occasional dirty bassline tech tune.  Either way Dale is very talented and D:t welcomes him to make his radio debut.  

Dale's talents don't just stop at djing, he is also a keen producer and has made some cracking tracks including Serendipity and his monster of a remix of Cafe Del Mar.  He is definitely a name for the future so look out for his tunes.

Daniel is no stranger to D:t as his live guest mix was what started our show off back last December when we did the top 50 show.  So when this talented Danish dj/producer offered us another guest mix, we couldn't say no as it was one of the most popular mixes to date.

Daniel has been climbing the ranks since his djing debut on the D:t top 50 show last year.  He has closed an Anjunabeats night at Turnmills and has djed at large gigs in Russia on more than one occasion.  He is really starting to become a name in the industry now.

With the release of Make Me Believe and I Found The Way on Anjunabeats not so long ago,  Daniel once again proves his music is incredibly popular and sells by the bucket load.

Tom Sela is also known as half of First Blush and is signed to Fraction Records.

With releases imminent on Fraction Records such as the awesome tune "The Day Will Come", a collab with Harris Briggs this young Israeli residing in Canada is tipped for big things in the world of production.  His style varies from the lush chilled out melody of guitars and such likes through to a techy style which will put hairs on your chest.

Tom is also currently remixing a new Carl B track.  So look out for this one.  

Those who know Tom will tell you this 18 year old's mix sets tell a story, he doesn't just play tunes.  Sit back and relax to the sounds of Tom Sela.
