Well unfortunately I don't have any answers to your questions, but I have some similar problems. I have ideas in my head but its hard to execute them for several reasons. Here are some:

- I used Fruity Loops when I was producing. I like some of the features that it has, but the interface isn't as easy to understand to me as Reason. I love how the racks are setup in Reason since my background is working with mainly hardware instead of software. Unfortunately it does not support VST's so that's why I never could really use it :(

- I don't have too many decent drum/perc samples. That makes making original beats hard because of my limited collection.

- Sometimes after trying different things that sound cool when adding them, I feel that they do not sound good later on and then just end up going back to a basic beat , pads, and bass. Then I sometimes give up because I couldn't get anything decent sounding.

- I don't use Windows anymore so my selection of production tools is extremely limited.

I'm sure someone will come along with some suggestions though :)

I'd prefer DCC if possible. It would be faster and it goes directly to me so theres no 'middle man' and it saves server b/w too :p

Thanks

Thanks for reporting this. I have updated the link as you suggested.

Can you verify that it works now? I do not have RealPlayer.

Thanks

Yeah YSI isn't always good speed wise, but as long as its going that's fine. Email address is djmark@party107.com or mark@mkproductions.org

6:30 sounds great. What do you want me to call it on the calendar?

IRC would be the best. If you can't DCC then yousendit.com maybe or I can setup an FTP (or if you already had one I could grab from that).

As for the time, this Friday from 6-8pm PST the airwaves are open if you wanted to spin live. Just let me know and then hop into the chatroom for the event :)

I was looking at that last tracklist and was gonna say that it seemed pretty recent ;)

MYDNYTE!!! :D Hey man. I hope things are going well for you.

I'm not sure why the forums didn't send it to you, did you check your spam folder? Sometimes they are marked as spam.

Anyway, I'm not sure what sets I do or don't have (none of the above look familiar), but I'd like to get any of your sets into the playlist again. :headbang:

Hope to see you around more if time permits.

Cheers :69:

Polls and Reviews / Dj's no good?

It's also frustrating when you have no vinyl stores nearby anyway so you can't search real bins. You have to rely on the audio samples that online stores put on the their sites.

Another problem is most of the US stores are either out of stock of the good stuff quickly or they don't have it for months. :(
