Idle Conversation / Can't Connect to Java Chat
December 13, 2005, 03:07:46 AM
I do not believe the web applet software supports that feature "out of the box". It can have multiple servers in a list for it to connect to but not a user dropdown type box.

I will keep that in mind though for future development of the MIXXnet Java Chat portal. The current applet for use with any channel is at: http://www.mixxnet.net/java/?channel=channelname, but that's just the standard 6667.

It's a good idea though.

Idle Conversation / Can't Connect to Java Chat

Hi Jake.

All IRC servers are up and operaional. What server are you trying? It should be "irc.mixxnet.net". If it doesn't work, then you are most likely firewalled on port 6667. Try:

anjuna.il.us.mixxnet.net port 7000 or a Java Chat on port 7000

I've only listened to Soundz_Jake_Encinas_Soundz_Like_Trouble_Remix and the SkylineBreaks one. I liked em, keep up the good work :)

I have an idea for a breakbeat remix/bootleg, but damn I gotta bring a machine down here, swap HD's, and all that crap just to boot into Windows to use FL. :(

Christopher Lawrence and Los Angeles producer Nicholas Bennison have teamed for one of the biggest tracks of the New Year season titled 'Scorcher'. The track is already being hammered by DJ Mag's #1 DJ Paul van Dyk, along with John OO Fleming, Marco V and many others.

Relentless driving power, crushing breakbeats and just the right amount of melody make 'Scorcher' one to work up a sweat to. Fresh off touring with Tiesto this summer, Joof Recordings artist, Miika Kuisma, shapes up one deep grooving builder of a remix.

This months IDJ Magazine (UK) says "Two of the best USA artists team up to create one hell of a single... this is truly powerful. Ounces of energy but never crossing that commercial boundary! (4/5)".

Meanwhile, iVibes says "Am I the only one who instantly shivers when CL releases a new track? The man knows what the dancefloor needs and he also knows what the average home listener wants and he somehow always gets the job done. He coupled with smart producer Bennison and they created a track with energy and JooF and PvD are already big fans of it. This track is relentless in the energy and relentless in its drive. I love how this track does not let up and everytime you go up for a breath, it slams you back down. 'Scorcher' is probably doing the damage on the dancefloor, the world over because it never lets up and it takes you along for the speeding journey... Get on board, this fucking rocks".
