I'm on my own this week, DJ DuneRav0r is absent. This weeks theres a mix from me and a second mix from me with some older trance

Just an idea I nicked from another forum, seems like a good'en, post a pic of your "tidy" (or not so) desktop, i've scaled mine down to 800x640, but it's actually running at 1280x1024...

Not sure what you guys think, but I noticed that every day it seems a few people join this forum, I was thinking it might be a good idea to setup a "Introductions" topic/thread under "General" in the forum or something? It would give new users a chance to say something, rather than just joining and then never returning    Might help build the community a bit?

Just a thought, if it doesn't work then you can shoot me! What do people think?

Just wondered, is anyone any good at using this? For mixing rather than producing. I've been having a play with it, not getting many results though I have to say!

I'm not thinking of starting to use Ableton rather than my conventional mixing techniques by the way! I was merely playing about on Ableton

Yet Another Late Night then, from the UK boys This is going to be a special one, i've been personally digging deep in my box this week, very deep infact, dusting off some of them tracks I havnt played for a while. I start it all off for the first quarter with some funky electro, progressing into some harder progressive and then some old school acid, finally cooling thing down a bit in preperation for DuneRav0rs hot hot mix, yes I've sampled it, it's fantastic. Well, what a session we have for you all this week! On Sunday (Bank Holiday in the UK), DuneRav0r and myself are heading to Gatecrasher, the famous club from Sheffield, England for the big bank holiday special, so we thought as a one off we would do a trance mix to celebrate the awesome Gatecrasher which has made a name or itself all over the world.

For the first hour i'll be taking you through some of the tunes that i've loved over the past 3 or 4 years, which turns out to be quite a bangin' hard trance set that should appeal to any Gatecrasher fans. Whilst DuneRav0r will be bringing you the newer tunes that are currently rocking the dancefloors all over the world right now. So stay tuned for a one off show that will surely get you ready for the weekend, whatever you're doing.

It's been officially decided between myself and DuneRav0r that we are to do a joint show on a weekly basis here at Party107, so hey, best of both worlds every week, can't argue with that!

The theory behind our little project is simple. Myself, Paul, will do the first hour of the show, bringing you the darker side of the sound, and DuneRav0r will be doing the second hour of the show, bringing you a more energetic sound. Together we think that will work well, but you'll be the ultimate judge of that!

So, what to expect this week? Well, I guess the sound of what we want to bring in the future, with progressive elements, tribal beats, maybe some house and electro house thrown in for good measure. One thing you can guarantee is we will both be trying to bring you a unique sound with a few suprises, so definately something worth listening out for.
