Destinations / Destinations 056 With LdJ
July 10, 2007, 08:41:15 PM
Today i will host to Guestmix on my show: LdJ!

Some Bio:
At an early age Linden was interested in music, often found rocking out to his mothers Def Lepard and Guns 'n' Roses albums, it was soon obvious that Linden would be a musician of sorts. It was at school where he discovered his musical talents, he learnt the guitar, piano and drums before realising it was easier to use a computer to make music. During year 11 of school whilst studying Music GCSE he discovered Dance Ejay, a loop based program for making music, as the years followed Linden discovered new and better programs such as Fruityloops, Cubase and Reason, only in the past year or so he has discovered amazing VST's such as Nexus, Albino, Vanguard and many more. To this day Linden is still found at his computer listening to the latest tunes getting idea's for his own productions and remixes.

Destinations / Destinations 055 With Dj Archie
July 04, 2007, 02:21:13 AM
Today i will host to Guestmix on my show: Dj Archie!
Some Bio:

With over 12 years experience and recently coming in at # 9 on the Australian Technics DJ Poll, Archie has risen to being one of Australia's top DJs. Earning himself a solid following from early on, playing clubs and gigs in his home town of Canberra, Archie created a strong underground following by creating a unique blend of production talent and mixing skills. By playing numerous events in and outside the party scene, he became one of the most prominent movers and shakers in the Australian dance industry. Originally starting off in Canberra at the tender age of 12, he began mixing & scratching Hip hop and eventually moved on to dance music two years later which instantly made him a permanent fixture in the ever growing Canberra scene. During this time he found himself playing a diverse range of styles including Breaks, Funky house, Trance and even Happy Hard, which was Archie's ticket into the Sydney party scene. Playing at gigs such as Colossus supporting Capella at the Eastern Creek Raceway, he continued to play large events like Happy Valley, Nightbreed 2, 3 & 4 and Love Nation @ Homebush.

Archie now resides in Sydney playing every week at clubs such as Sublime @ Home, Progress @ Gas, Sounds on Sunday and Icebox with regular spots at Transmission, Gods Kitchen, Utopia, Mobile Home plus other events and clubs around the country including Academy in Canberra, Family in Brisbane and Bubble and Hard Kandy in Melbourne.

His trademark sound of Hard Trance and signature scratches have continually seen him playing alongside some of the biggest names in the business including Tiesto, Kai Tracid, Judge Jules, Jam X & De Leon, Tony De Vit, Timo Mass, De La Soul, Moby, Black Eyed Peas, St Germain, Armin Van Burren, Paul Van Dyk, Fergie, Alphazone, Tall Paul, Nick Sentience, DJ Heaven, Hennes & Cold, Binary Finary, Ferry Corsten, Nu Idol, Darren Styles, CJ Boland, Capella, Jimmy J & Cru-l-t, Vinylgroover, Slipmatt, Jeremy Healey, Force Mass Motion, Commander Tom, Mrs Woods, Marc Luv dup, DJ Edge, DJ Misjah, Africa Islam, Lucien Foort, Ultrasonic, Dyewitness, Scott Bond, Darude, Marc Dawn, Green Velvet, Billy Nasty, James Lavelle, Luke Slater, Sander Kleinenberg, Luis Osbourne, Doc Martin, Richie Hawtin. The list goes on.

As you may have realised by now Archie does not stick to one style. Having a background in Breaks and Hip hop Archie regularly produces and plays under the name B-arch and has played along side an impressive array of guests. The list includes Stereo 8, Pump DJs, Freestlyers, Meat Katie, Friendly, Hybrid, John Stapleton, Cedric Bennoit, LTJ Bukem, and Roni Size to name a few.

Remarkably, Archie also participated in renowned Australian electronic act Endorphin for several years. Contributing a live element to the group as a scratch DJ, he toured constantly through out the country playing at such gigs and Festivals as Homebake, Gatecrasher, Moonlight Sounds, Delirium Festival, the Adelaide Fringe plus most major venues along the way. Alongside this, Archie recently toured South America with the band to play several shows with knock out reviews. The purpose of this tour was to promote the last Endorphin album "AM/PM", which was released through Sony and included an exclusive remix by Archie, as well as several tracks that he featured on. Archie's remix of the single Sex & Violence also made waves in the industry by becoming opening track on renowned Australian DJ Bexta's Gold mixology in 2002.

Previous to joining Endorphin in 2000 he has kept up his ever growing interest in producing his own material along with remixes and collaborations with other artists and DJs. Currently Archie is working on a few different projects remixing Endorphin, producing both Breaks and Trance and on the lookout for new Aussie talent as the birth of his label "Wasabi Recordings" comes to life. Above all this he recently completed a series for the Lifestyle channel on Foxtell, where he produced music and the opening titles for this 27 show series, which consequently is shown all around the globe.

Just recently Archie had another vinyl release on French Breaks label, Lab Rok Records. The track "What they want" had been charting for several weeks in the Vinyl Addiction chart and has even been played by the like of Krafty Kuts, Jon Horvath (Fort Knox Five), Superstlye Deluxe, Friendly & Cedric Bennoit. Also Archie has brought to life his own label called Wasabi Records which he has released his first mix CD under. The CD titled "Twin Peaks" is a double mix featuring two styles, trance and breaks and includes many of Archies own songs. The CD on its first week entered the Central Station CD Chart at Number one and stayed there for many weeks. Ministry Magazine gave it an 8/10 alongside many other publications praising its diversity, clever mixing and scratching through out the mix. Watch out for more Wasabi releases on the horizon.

Destinations / Destinations 051 With Artento Divini
June 05, 2007, 10:45:42 AM
This Week i will host to Guestmix on my show a awsome tech producer and dj: Artento Divini!

Some Bio:

Artento Divini started spinning the wheels of steel at the age of thirteen. He temporarily put his fascination for music on the backburner to focus on his career as a professional biker. After reaching the top in sports he decided it was time to pursue another goal. He took up his old hobby, bought professional turntables, vinyl and started his career as a DJ at the age of 19.

Within a short while he was spinnin at his own parties. It didn't take long before he got in contact with the owner of the Scala Dance Theatre where he became resident DJ. He performed besides great names like: Marco V, Bas & RAM and Hennes & Cold. The Friday nights became so successful that his name was set.

After winning the local DJ contest 2002, things picked up fast. He spinned at Xxlerator, (Club Matrixx) and Index in Germany. To top it all off, he picked up his suitcase and left 3 months for Manaus, Brazil, performing at several clubs and parties like Eco System 2.0, The Amazon's largest jungle party.

Back from Brazil and fully inspired, Artento was invited to perform at the After club in Amsterdam. At the After club in Amsterdam he met Melvin Warning. They started working together and started spinning in trendy clubs like XL, The Lexion and The Hemkade. In the year 2006 they performed back to back at the main stage of Pleasure Island.

Furthermore Artento Divini formed a pack with his friend and partner in crime electro drummer Samos (Sam Wijnruits). They performed together at The Fast Forward Dance Parade.

The duo  Divini & Warning delivered a smashing techtrance monster with the track "4LB". The tune got picked up by Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, DJ Tiesto, Marco V and many others. Armin van Buuren even used this track as an opening theme at the main stage of Dance Valley Festival 2006.

At the end of 2006 Divini contacted White Villa Entertainment and made a remix of the gigantic hit of Roy Gates' "Midnight sun".

Right now Artento and Melvin are working on a new Divini Warning track called "Chaib". This track is named after a friend who past away in a diving accident. Chaib was a man who loved his life and that's the message Divini Warning wants to give with this track; don't worry about tomorrow and live today.

In December 2006, Artento Divini starts his own production company and concentrated even more on his music. He now produces his own tracks, alone and with other DJ's. His first new track "Groove in me" will be his first solo project and will be released by Dance Villa (a division of White Villa). Release: march 2007.
