Martin Merida start summer off with a bang. The duo is comprised of two Los Angeles music veterans - Merlyn Martin and Hector 'Huggie' Merida. El Dia on Germany's Heaps Music Imprint is a peak hour affair with relentless beats, funky bass lines, and elements of refined jazz. Martin and Merida take apart the individual elements for solid and clever remixes that unveil some unexpected twists and turns for a unforgettable release.

Martin Merida worked together on the 2010 Tech House track - Merlyn Martin & Huggie 'Confirmation' on Polytechnic Recordings, which went to #3 on mypromopool.com Top 20, and was also included on the  'Tech House Essentials Vol. 2' on Label Works Recordings. Individually Merlyn & Huggie have produced and remixed music for such labels as Baker Street Recordings, Perfecto Black, Xela Digital/BIT Records , Stripped Digital, NOSI Music, A-Squared Muzik, Looq Records, System Recordings, just to name a few. Their music has received support from the likes of Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Dave Clarke, Richie Hawtin, Lucianao, Q-Burns Abstract, Jamie Anderson, the Advent,  Paco Osuna, Slam, and Nic Fanciulli.
