Idle Conversation / Post Pics of your Gear Thread
« on: November 20, 2004, 03:02:34 am »
Hey,

Of course, it's time to start the obligatory "Post Pics of your Gear" thread (and for shawn, a new opportunity to promote his site ;) )

I'll start it off i guess.

Turntables:

2 Gemini XL-500II
They dont hold pitch. Only get these decks if someone is threatening you with "Death by Spoon" (aka DBP)  These are fine if you're starting out on a crappy budget. Replacing these in the next two weeks with the decks I shouldve gotten 2 years ago: 1210s

CDJs:

Pioneer :D  CMX-3000
An awesome set, Just got it today. I'll be posting a review shortly. I will say that I still sit there, expecting the CD to come out of the controller only to realize that im just stupid :p

Mixer:
Behringer VMX-200
A good transition mixer, which means going from my previous POS mixer to a new very sexy mixer (aka VSM)

This all gets routed out to my laptop (compaq 2800T) for recording or broadcast.

Output:
Philips MC-77
This unit is AWESOME, dual subwoofers, mids and lows. Aluminum cone and the pretty blue light  :D

Lets see those tables

Yeah yeah, you all know me...so keep movin' here.

Yeah, Macker forced me to register ;)  so here I am.

Um, for those who dont know me:

I owe Mark $50. I'm 17, Live in Boston MA. Student and Part Time mechanic. and I spin Prog. Trance, Tech House and sometimes i get distracted and add some prog. house. I'm in the process of redoing my setup, so Lane, no need to make space in your PM inbox quite yet. CMX-3000(Friday) + 2x XL-500II (replacing them soon w/ M3Ds) going into a poor poor VMX 200. I'm looking into the DJM-500 but need to save up to recover from the hole burned into my wallet. :D
