Well, it's about that time again, so I though I'd pop up a quick message up just to say that Showdown Sessions rolls back onto the p107 airwaves this very Thursday for a 2hours feast of trance lovelyness.  Ahead of our first peak time gig in a little while next month, we're dusting the cobwebs off our mega uplifting / uber driving trance boots.  So expect an hour of full on driving trance from our good selves.  Should be bangin, as Kiz would say.

In the second hour of the show we've got a guestmix from an old friend of ours... Ben Collier (Benassi on these here forums).  Ben hosts the Room1ne Sessions, a semi regular radio show available at www.room1nesessions.com, and mighty fine it is too.  Ben has prepared us a rather tasty little guestmix, so be sure to stick around for it.  Check out Room1ne on bookface HERE

Eek... just when everything was looking so great for the show... it goes and hammers it down with snow round these parts.  It's pretty much blanketted the whole area:



As a result, we're unable to travel to the studio, and Sly One has been unable to get down from London on the train, so we've got no option but to postpone the show for another day.  Hopefully we can set a date for next week, so we'll let you know when it's going to happen.

As a replacement, Ant is going to be hitting the airwaves for 2(+) hours of trance lovelyness, so c-c-check it out.


Sorry guys and gals, we're gutted, but these things happen :(

As I'm sure you all know by now, DESTINATION:trance started when me, Ant and a certain Mr Daniel Kandi did an impromptu top 50 radio boadcast back in 2006.  Since then, the tradition of the inevitable end of year round up show has continued; and returns this year for what we hope will be the biggest one ever.
 
Over the course of 6 WHOLE HOURS~! we'll be taking over the party107.com airwaves for a complete poptastic Top50 chart of our (and your) favourites of the year.  We've been hard at work compiling a list of, in our opinion, the greatest trance tunes this years release schedule had to offer, and we'll be playing all 50 of them on Saturday 19th Dec, from 5pm to about 11pm GMT.

And if that wasn't enough, we're going to be joined by an extra special guest, LIVE in the studio for all the fun and games.  In previous years we've been joined by Daniel Kandi, Jurrane and Luke Jenning from Perceptive Recordings... and joining that lustrous list we'll be joined by top DJ and producer Sly One.
 
Sly One is one half of the top UK duo Sly One & Jurrane, who together have taken the scene by storm over the last 18months with their productions and remixes.  They have multiple release on Discover and Perceptive Recordings, along with new track Silicone Stars on Armada.  Not only top producers, but stunning djs (both individually and together), Sly One and Jurrane are residents at the best Trance night in London called [color="#FFFFFF"]Planet Angel[/color], and have rocked venues across the country with their cerebral energy filled sets.
 
Jurrane joined us two years ago, and now Sly One will be joining us to not only mix with us, but provide a very special, super exclusive, LIVE guestmix during the show.  This sure is a rarity, as Sly doesn't do too many guestmixes or radio shows, it it's going to be a honour to have him on board.  Be sure not to miss it~!

Well, it doesn't happen very often; if I recall rightly, only when the moon is full and the planets are aligned; but this weekend is one such occasion.... I myself have been called upon to host the show this week - all on my bloody own.  Eeeek!

I jest ;)  Ant is of on some sort of holiday jaunt around Canada, so it falls upon me to take over the leather clad reigns of the show for a rather sexy Showdown takeover extravaganza!  So expect fun, frolics, and hi-jinx galore as I rummage around in the cd wallet and pull out the filleted highlights of what recent trance has to offer.  Oh, and I might just through a few naughty classic trance nuggets in there for good measure - it'd be rude not to!

So tune in on Saturday for what promises to be a fun show.

Well... in the time honoured tradition of 1st and 3rd saturdays, good old D:t returns to the interweb airwaves for your listening pleasure between the hours of 5pm - 7pm.  Oh, and as usual, it'll be 100% live and direct from Studio A - no pre-records on this baby.  It's a 2 hour show this week, so we'll both be picking out our current favourites from the world of trance - just for you.

Except we won't, because Ant has only gone and gotten himself a ear infection of some sort, so is layed up in bed trying to recover.  He might be fighting fit in time, he might not.  But fret not ye trance lovers... for I (Phil) am at hand to steady the ship/. I'll be taking the reigns for the whole two hours, in some sort of crazy Showdown take over.  Reckon you can handle that? ;)

That's right, it was 2 years ago this month that Kiz and myself teamed up and formed Showdown, and that makes us very happy.... So we though we'd have a little party and invite you all along for the fun of it.  In the show this month, during the final half hour we going to play a few of our favourite Showdowney tunes, and tunes that mean a lot to the pair of us for one reason or another.

The rest of the show will be business as usual... all of our favourite tunes from the here and now; so expecit lots of floaty melodies and driving baslines.  You know the beef ;)

AND ONE FINAL TIME..... incase you didn't notice, we've been promoted to the peak time slot on party107.... so we're moving from 5pm to 9pm in the evening, UK time.  Basically it's a move from before ASOT to after it.  So be sure to set your alarms, check your watches, and wind up the old grandfather clock, because from here on in we're on at 9PM GMT.
