Title: To Dutch: Mark making Bitterballen?
Post by: Mark Kane on October 25, 2004, 05:22:34 pm
I want to try Bitterballen. Which out of these two recipes is more like the real thing?

http://members.home.nl/cookingdutch/Recipes.html#Bitterballen%20(Meatball%20Hors

http://www.recipezaar.com/recipe/getrecipe.zsp?id=18460

(Or if you make them a special way :D)

Also, what kind of oil [vegetable, corn, peanut, shortening, etc] and any specific kind of mustard?

In the chat you said the other one! lol

WHICH IS IT?!?! :D

I suppose the veal would be better than the ground beef though.

Savory Creamy Meatballs would be an appropriate translation of the word 'bitterballen'. These deep-fried meatballs are filled with a beef ragout and have a crispy outside. They are often served at cocktail parties or as a snack with a pre-dinner drink. You eat these tasty deep-fried morsels hot, on a toothpick, dipped in mustard.

Why is there a bottle of Amstel there instead of a bottle of Stella!?!?
Title: To Dutch: Mark making Bitterballen?

Bitterballen = Dutch

Amstel = Dutch
Stella = Belgian

With the right knowledge and preparation, shipping a boat is simple. We suggest you begin the planning process for shipping your boat at least a month before your ship date. This will give you enough time to research your options on boat trailers, choosing a boat carrier, shopping for quotes, and how to best prepare your boat for pickup. You should hire your boat carrier and confirm pickup and drop off dates at least two weeks in advance. For international boat shipping you need to give more time for carriers to research quotes and for proper prepping of your boat for extended transport.

I assume the exact veal may be greater than the underside surface gound beef while.
