Just an idea I nicked from another forum, seems like a good'en, post a pic of your "tidy" (or not so) desktop, i've scaled mine down to 800x640, but it's actually running at 1280x1024...

Mine's super simple. In fact, I haven't used my desktop in so long.

Here's my simple Desktop...
I run at 1280x1024 - but this is scaled 800x640 for forum-viewing. Native Resolution: http://www.zathland.net/images/zathsdesktop.png Running Linux Kernel 2.6.18-gentoo-r3 Running Desktop Environment Gnome 2.14 Running Eterm with the 'Crystal' theme In Eterm I have an IRSSI with the 'XChat' theme, connected to MIXXNet As well as a SSH Connection to my webhost in the other Eterm.
