A tip is to loosen your lips more. make them firm, but not clenched together so much, and blow gently. A tip to first learners is to take the mouthpiece out of the trumpet, and just play that. Practice raising and lowering the pitch like that (and yes, it sounds BAD), but it does improve your playing. Good Luck, and Have a great experience with the trumpet
